Johanna Morgan - Sunday Preschool & Volunteer Coordinator
Johanna accepted Jesus as her Savior as a youth. Some of her earliest memories are of attending and making pumpkin pies in her mother’s Preschool Sunday School class. She also attended church in Monmouth before settling in at Suburban with her daughter in 2013.
Her guiding principle has always been that we were created as social creatures, and we all need each other. Every one of us has something to offer the rest of us. She is passionate about volunteering, previously very involved in Boy Scouts and currently engaged in book repair for the Corvallis School District. Her service, in all aspects of her life, has been inspired and guided by Mark 9:35-37 “Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, ‘Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.’ He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, ‘Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever
welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.’”
In addition to her daughter, Johanna and her husband have a grown son. As a family, their passion is backpacking and enjoying God’s nature. When not in nature, you can find Johanna reading, cross-stitching, gardening, or organizing.
